OUR FACILITIES

A fully trained technician monitors the entire treatment throughout the process with each treatment lasting 1-2 hours and the number of treatment sessions varying with the type and severity of the condition being treated.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) allows the hyperbaric technician and medical staff to monitor the chamber and an intercom system gives two-way communication between you and them. 

In many of our facilities patients enjoy a full DVD/Radio/CD Music entertainment system whilst treatments are in progress.

OUR PRACTITIONERS

Dr Ewer trained in the UK obtaining specialist qualifications before moving to NZ. Working as a hospital consultant physician he helped to run the hyperbaric chamber in Christchurch and co-authored two papers relating to hyperbarics in gas poisonings.

His diploma in occupational medicine at the University of Auckland included a dissertation on the use of HBOT in infectious diseases. He also has a Master of Science Degree with research in environmental medicine and has undertaken hyperbaric medicine courses at the NZ Navy Unit and the Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Dr Ewer has also been the NZ adviser on traditional medicine to the World Health Organisation, advisor to the NZ government on Complementary and Alternative Medicine and currently runs a Health Centre near Nelson where he specializes in Integrative Medicine. He has a particular interest in the possible usefulness of HBOT in chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia. chemical toxicity and neurological diseases.

Dr Levin is medically trained in Scotland, UK specialising in naturopathy, environmental and hyperbaric medicine qualifying with the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.

Over the past decade Dr Levin has gained valuable additional experience in bio-identical hormones and tranfusion sciences.

Sue regularly attends international conferences and seminars to keep up-to-date with the very latest developments and advances in medicine, recently qualifying as a DAN practitioner for chronic health issues and treating children with autism.

In addition Dr Levin encompasses her 20 years experience in naturopathy, herbal medicine, anti-aging and nutritional medicine with the Essence of Health therapy centre.
